GRAND HAVEN, MICH. – After day two of the Folds of Honor Collegiate, the Grand Valley men's golf program still holds onto a top 10 spot in a field of all Division I programs, as the Lakers sit in ninth with 18 holes to play.
Charles DeLong maintains his presence at the top, going into the final round in a tie for sixth place.
Illinois jumped up two spots and now is in the lead after shooting an eleven under on the day and are seven under for the tournament. The Illini are up 11 strokes on second-place Florida State (+4), with Arizona and Liberty tied for third place at +7. Kansas (+9) is in fifth place, followed by Oregon State (+10) in sixth, Michigan State (+14) seventh, eighth-place NC State (+15), and Grand Valley staying in ninth at twenty over.

Charles DeLong and
Drew Coble shot even par 72 today, and they go into the final 18 holes of the tournament with DeLong tied for sixth place at two under, and Coble tied for 11
th at even par.
Nick Krueger shot a 76 (+4) today and is tied for 49
th after the first two rounds of play.
Bryce Wheeler is tied for 60
th, after carding a second-round score of 80 (+8), while
Charlie Cooley is tied for 63
rd, recording a score of 81 (+9) during the 18 holes of play today.
"It was a tough day for us today, way too many big numbers," said head coach
Gary Bissell. "We are looking forward to cleaning that up tomorrow and finishing on a high note."
After being paired with Arizona and Florida State in the first round, then Michigan State and Kansas during round two, the Lakers will play the final round with Michigan State and North Carolina State.
