Box Score MIDLAND, Mich. - The Grand Valley State women's tennis team fell to Wayne State in the GLIAC Tournament Semifianls by a score of 4-2 Saturday (April 30) at Greater Midland Tennis Center. The Lakers fall to 14-6 on the season and will wait to hear their seeding for the NCAA Midwest Regionals. The selection show will be on Tuesday (May 3) at 8:30 PM. 

Wayne State went 2-0 in doubles to claim the doubles point. On the singles side, Taylor Barrett claimed a 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 5 singles. Marily Canellopoulos tallied a 7-6, 6-0 win at No. 6 singles. Vasileia Griva dropped a hard fought 3-6, 6-3, 4-6 three set decision at No. 3 singles, while Estefania Hernandez lost a tough 6-1, 4-6, 1-6 three set decision at No. 4 singles.
