GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Grand Valley State men's tennis team defeated Davenport 6-1 Saturday at Premier Athletic and Tennis Club in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The Lakers improved to 12-3 on the season, 4-1 in the GLIAC. They will travel to Detroit, Michigan Friday, April 15 for a road GLIAC match against Wayne State.
GVSU claimed the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles. The senior pair of
Josep Canyadell and
Tomas Oliveira claimed a 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles. The pair are now 4-0 in GLIACÂ doubles play, all coming from the No. 1 position.
Sean Miller and
Martin Matov tallied a 7-5 win ata No. 3 doubles, improving to 4-1 in GLIAC doubles play as a pair. On the singles side,
Josep Canyadell claimed a 6-0, 7-5 win at No. 1 singles.

Tomas Oliveira added a 6-3, 6-3 straight set win at No. 4 singles.
Freddy Cossio claimed a 6-0, 6-3 win at No. 5 singles, and
