Grand Valley State athletics announced a multi-year agreement with Berger Chevy of Grand Rapids to serve as "Official Chevy Dealer of Laker Athletics." The integrated connection with the GVSU marks the first of its kind for the largest Chevy dealership in West Michigan.

The partnership between GVSU Athletics and Berger Chevy will be centered around community engagement and creating positive impact through a shared passion for elevating Laker Athletics, while also including event promotion. The GVSU-Berger Chevy relationship ushers in an opportunity to celebrate the remarkable achievements of the GVSU athletic programs, coaches and student-athletes.Â

Grand Valley State is a NCAA DII institution and a member of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The Lakers have won 13 NACDA Directors' Cup titles, commonly known as the all-sports trophy, since 2004 and 27 total GLIAC Presidents' Cup crowns, including 23 straight as the top athletics program in the GLIAC. In addition, since 2002 GVSU has claimed 28 team National Championships and 70 individual National Championships.Â
