ALLENDALE, MICH. – 181 Grand Valley State student-athletes were selected as Division II Athletic Directors Association (D2 ADA) Academic Achievement award recipients for the 2025-26 school year.
 
To qualify for the honor, a student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, have attended a minimum of two years of college level work, and have been an active member of an intercollegiate team during their last academic year.
 
The Lakers had the most student-athletes earn the honor among all Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference members, with their 181 beating the next closest team by 10. Overall, over 21,000 student-athletes earned the honor nationwide.
 
GVSU Athletic Director Keri Becker has been a contributing member of the D2 ADA and was selected as the organization's Athletic Director of the Year for the 2025-26 season.
