GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Grand Valley State men's tennis team ended the regular season with a win over Lewis Tuesday (April 20) at Premier Athletic & Tennis Club by a score of 6-1. The Lakers finish the regular season with a 14-4 overall record.
GVSU claimed the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles.
Sebastian Arce and
Freddy Cossio claimed a 6-1 win at No. 2 doubles.
Jack Dausman and
Tomas Oliveira tallied a 6-2 win at No. 3 doubles.
Josep Canyadell and
Sean Miller dropped a tough 7-5 decision at No. 1 doubles.
On the singles side,
Josep Canyadell claimed a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles.
Sebastian Arce tallied a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles.
Tomas Oliveira added a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 4 singles.
Ignacio Morera-Lucas claimed a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 5 singles, while
Freddy Cossio tallied a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 6 singles.
The Lakers will begin postseason play in the GLIAC Tournament beginning on Friday, April 29 in Midland, Michigan. More information about the tournament will be announcedat a later date.
