GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Grand Valley State women's tennis team defeated Michigan Tech 6-1, Sunday (March 27) at Grand Rapids Racquet and Fitness. GVSU will travel to Purdue Northwest Friday (April 1) and will host Davenport Saturday (April 2).

GVSU swept doubles action to the claim the doubles point. Marily Canellopoulos and Marija Leko claimed a 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles. Vera and Vasileia Griva tallied a 6-2 win at No. 2 doubles, while Estefania Hernandez and Taylor Barrett added a 6-3 win at No. 3 doubles. On the singles side, Marija Leko claimed a win at No. 1 singles, while Vasileia Griva tallied a 6-1, 6-0 straight set win at No. 2 singles. Taylor Barrett added a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 3 singles, while Estefania Hernandez tallied a 6-3, 1-6, 10-8 win at No. 4 singles. Olivia Huang claimed a hard fought 4-6, 6-4, 10-8 win at No. 6 singles.
