Box Score The Grand Valley State women's tennis team opened up GLIAC action with a 5-2 win over rival Ferris State. The Lakers improve to 6-4 on the season and 1-0 in the GLIAC.
 
GVSU claimed the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. Vera Griva and Vasileia Griva claimed a 6-4 win at 6-4 win at No. 2 doubles. Estefania Hernandez and Taylor Barrett tallied a 6-4 win at No. 3 doubles. On the singles side, Vera Griva claimed a 2-6, 6-4, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles. Vasileia Griva tallied a 7-6 (2), 6-4 win at No. 3 singles. Estefania Hernandez added a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 5 singles, while Marily Canellopoulos claimed a 7-6, 6-4 win at No. 6 singles.
 
The GVSU women will play their GLIAC home opener next week Friday (March 25) and Saturday (March 26) against Michigan Tech.
