Women's Golf Finishes Off Fall Season With Lowest Round Of The Season

Lakers Shoot A Season-Low 288 In The Final Round Of The Fall

DADE CITY, FL. – The Grand Valley women's golf team closed out their fall season at the Saint Leo Invitational in Florida Tuesday afternoon. The Lakers ended the tournament in ninth place, while two ladies finished in the top 25.
 
Anderson came away with the tournament title, carding a final score of five under. Lynn was right behind them at four under to claim second place, while Barry was third at +13. Florida Southern came in fourth at +14 and Tampa was fifth at +17. Grand Valley ended the tournament in ninth place at thirty-six over par but shot an even par 288 today in the final round, which was their lowest round of the season.
 
"It was an amazing performance today by the ladies," remarked head coach Rebecca Mailloux. "It was a great way to cap off the fall season with lowest round of the year."
 
Paula Badino was tied for 19th overall, shooting a +5 with four birdies in the final round of play. Olivia Stoll was tied for 22nd after a final round of 68 (-4) with five birdies today and ended the tournament at six over. Coming in at 37th was Julia Sanchez at +12, as she carded three birdies today. Rounding out the four was Megan Miron who was tied for 38th with a score of +13, with three birdies on the day today.
