Grand Valley State won the 2021 GLIAC Women's Golf Championship with a 4-1 win over Wayne State in Medal Match play. GVSU, the top seed after stroke play, claimed a 4-1 over Davenport in the semifinals. GVSU has now won three straight GLIAC titles and a GLIAC-best 15 all-time. The Lakers will next compete in the NCAA DII East Regional that will be held at Prairie View Golf Course in Carmel, Indiana May 3-5.
The GLIAC final four is a
"Medal Match" event. Each match is scored by the
cumulative number of strokes won by rather than the number of holes won. Up 3 means that the player is
up by 3 strokes, not 3 holes. The player up by the most strokes after 18 holes wins the match.
The Lakers claimed a 4-1 over Wayne State in the title match.

GVSU placed three individuals among the top four and four among the top eight in the 36-hole stroke play portion of the GLIAC Championship. Senior All-American
Katie Chipman claimed GLIAC medalist honors for the third straight year as she tallied a 36-hole score of 141 (-3). Chipman carded a second-round 73 (+1) that included three birdies to go along with her opening-round 68 (-4). Freshman
Megan Miron finished third with a two-day total of 145 (+1), recording a second-round 71 (-1) that included three birdies on the back nine. Fellow freshman, Julie Sanchez, also carded a second-round 71 (-1) and finished fourth with a 36-hole score of 146 (+2). Senior
Maria Sol Pose finished eighth with a two-day score of 150 (+6) and
Arna Kristjansdottir tied for 21st with a 36-hole score of 156 (+12)
