Box Score The Grand Valley State women's tennis team claimed a 7-0 GLIAC victory over Ashland Friday at Grand Rapids Racquet & Fitness. GVSU, now 6-2 overall and 1-0 in league action, will host Wayne State Saturday at MVP Athletic Club at 10 a.m.

The Lakers dominated play from the start of doubles action. Marily Canellopoulos and Marija Leko claimed a 6-3 win at No. doubles, followed by Vera Griva and Taylor Barrett winning by a 6-0 margin at No. 2 doubles. Valileia Griva and Liv Hanover captured a 6-2 win at No. 3 doubles. 

GVSU won five of six singles matches in straight sets. Vera Griva claimed a 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 1, Barrett a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 2 and Leko a 6-2, 6-3 victory at No. 3. Vasileia Griva tallied a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 4 singles, Liv Hanover notched a tough 6-3, 5-7, 10-2 win at No. 5 singles and Olivia Huang won a 6-2, 6-3 decision at No. 6 singles to close out the match.
