Box Score The Grand Valley State women's tennis team claimed a 5-2 win over Walsh Saturday at the MVP Athletic Complex to even its overall record to 1-1 on the year. The Lakers claimed the doubles point with a 3-0 mark and won four of six singles points.

In doubles action Marija Leko and Marily Canellopoulos claimed a 6-1 victory at No. 1 doubles, while Vera Griva and Taylor Barrett also won by a 6-1 score at No. 2 doubles. Vasileia Griva and Liv Hanover tallied a 6-3 win at No. 3 doubles. 

Vera Griva claimed a victory at No. 1 singles (6-2, 6-2), Barrett dominated at No. 2 singles (6-1, 6-1) and Vasileia Griva won a tough three-set affair (1-6, 7-5, 7-5) at No. 3 singles. Liv Hanover and Amanda Herdoiza dropped matches at No. 4 and 5 singles, but Olivia Huang tallied a win at No. 6 singles (6-0, 6-3).
