GVSU Women's Tennis Defeats Concordia-New York, 5-2

Lakers now 18-3 overall

The #24 Grand Valley State women's tennis team claimed a 5-2 victory over Concordia-New York in its Florida finale. The Lakers are now 18-3 overall and will continue a non-conference slate. 

Sophomore Vera Griva dropped a marathon match at #1 singles to #32 nationally-ranked Ebba Rosberg by a 4-6, 7-6, (7-5), 17-15 score, however, the Lakers won four singles matches and the doubles point for the team win. #2 Taylor Barrett claimed a 6-3, 6-0 win, #4 Marily Canellopoulos won a tough 1-6, 7-6, 10-8 decision, #5 Liv Hanover dominated in a 6-0, 6-1 victory and #6 Olivia Huang won a 6-1, 6-3 decision. 

#1 Canellopoulos/Leko (6-4), #2 Griva/Hanover (6-2) and #3 Barrett/Huang (6-2) claimed doubles victories.
