HILLSDALE, Ohio – An eight-run seventh inning doomed the Grand Valley State Lakers in a 14-8 loss to the Hillsdale College Chargers Wednesday afternoon in non-conference, regional action. The Lakers are now 8-16-1 on the season.
Nick Shaw (0-1) suffered the loss for the Lakers.
Joe Laudont had a pair of hits, including a home run, and two RBI to lead the Laker attack.

Parker Murdie each drove in a single run for GVSU. An error by the Chargers in the sixth inning allowed the Lakers to tie the game (6-6), but the Chargers responded with an eight-run seventh inning to pull away.
The Lakers open their home schedule this weekend when they host the Davenport Panthers for a four-game GLIAC series starting Friday (April 5) at 3:00 PM at the GVSU Baseball Field.
