The Grand Valley State baseball team picked up a 19-3 victory over Hillsdale College Tuesday afternoon in the Dunn Hospitality Classic in Evansville, Ind. The Lakers, 1-3 on the year, will play Southern Indiana on Tuesday in a twinbill beginning at 1 p.m.
A frustrated 2018 Laker baseball squad finally got things rolling versus Hillsdale. GVSU scored 19 runs on 19 hits, including 10 extra base hits Monday afternoon. The first inning has not been a problem offensively and today was no different with a two-spot. LF
Aaron Donald doubled, followed by a triple off the bat of RF

GVSU added a pair of runs in the fourth on one hit and two Charger errors. C

Zach Berry reached on an second throwing errory by the Charger third baseman that allowed Glick to score. DH
Chase Carpenter then doubled down the right field line to score Blake-Jones to up the lead to 4-0. Hillsdale scored a single run in the top of the sixth to pull within three (4-1) before the Laker offense came to life.
In the bottom of the sixth GVSU scored 10 runs on 10 hits as the first 10 batters all reached base safely, including five extra base hits. Glick opened with the first of his two doubles in the inning. Pinch hitter/1B

Alex Mandeville walked and
Nolan Anspaugh reached on a bunt single. Donald drove in one with a single and Gleason tripled to drive in a pair. Nate drove in one with a sac fly and LaDoux ended the inning with an RBI single.
Hillsdale scored a pair in the top of the eighth, but GVSU added five of their own on three hits. LaDoux opened the inning with a solo shot to center and Berry, who reached on an error, later scored on two wild pitches. Gleason then closed the scoring with a 3-run shot to center.
Sophomore LHP
Travis Keys picked up the win, yielding just three hits with nine strikeouts in five innings of work. Junior
Josh D. Smith struck out three in two innings, while freshman
Ricky Clark and senior
Grant Peters each tossed an inning in relief.
Gleason was 3-for-5 with two triples, a HR, six RBI and three runs scored, while Donald and LaDoux each collected three hits. Donald drove in a run and scored two, while LaDoux drove in two and scored two. Glick was 2-for-4 with two doubles an RBI and three runs scored, followed by Berry's 2-for-4 outing with two RBI and two runs scored. Nate drove in a pair and
