SPARKS, Md. -- The #12 Grand Valley State (1-3) women's lacrosse team fell to #3 Le Moyne (2-0) on Thursday in their third match against a top-five opponent during the non-conference portion of their schedule. The Dolphins defeated the Lakers 18-5 in Sparks, Md. at the US Lacrosse Facility. The Lakers are now 1-1 during their three-game trip to Maryland. 

After Monday's fast start against #13 Bentley, the Lakers were plagued by a slow start as Le Moyne took an early 2-0 lead against GVSU. The Lakers never led in Thursday's game. GVSU was led by Kira Dosenberry in scoring as the senior scored two goals on the day. Le Moyne out-shot the Lakers 37-25 on the day and had a six draw control margin on GVSU. 

The Lakers continue their trip in Maryland against #20 Pace University on Sunday, March 12th at 2:00 PM.
