#24 Grand Valley State will hit the road for a GLIAC tilt at Wayne State Saturday (Oct. 10). Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. at Adams Field. Steve Lloyd-Jones and Greg Johnson will call the action live on the 15-station GVSN Radio Network, while Xfinity 900 will also carry the game on TV.

• The Series
Grand Valley State leads the all-time series by a 31-5 margin, including 26 straight wins. The Lakers are 16-2 at Lubbers Stadium and 15-3 at Wayne State. The average margin of victory in the 26-game Laker winning streak is 35.0-12.0 and GVSU has scored 40 or more points nine times and held WSU to 10 points or less 11 times in the last 26 games. GVSU claimed a 17-3 victory last season in Allendale. WSU's last win in the series was in 1984 (30-3)

• Grand Valley State is in its 45th season of football and sport a 363-135-3 all-time record. GVSU's .730 winning percentage tops all Division II schools and is third all-time in all divisions behind Notre Dame (.733) and Michigan (.731).

• Grand Valley State has the second longest streak for consecutive games without being shutout at 283 games. The Lakers were last shutout by Ferris State (23-0) in 1992. Valdosta State's 286 games without being shutout is the longest streak. 

• Grand Valley State claimed a 46-14 win over Hillsdale last week. The Lakers scored 22 third quarter points and held the Chargers scoreless in the second half. RB Mary Carter led the ground game with 102 yards and a TD on eight carries. WR Matt Williams returned a punt 61 yards for a TD and caught a TD pass, while WR Jamie Potts hauled in two TD passes. Alton Voss tallied seven tackles and three tackles for loss en route to being named the GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week, while Garrett Pougnet tallied a team-high nine tackles.
