ORLANDO, Fla. - The Grand Valley State men's tennis team finished up its Florida spring trip on Saturday (Mar. 8) with a 7-2 victory over Division I Robert Morris.
The victory moves the Lakers to 9-2 overall on the year, while Robert Morris falls to 0-5.
The Lakers started the day with a sweep of all three doubles matches, including a 9-7 victory by Andrew Bole and Francis Bertrand in the No. 1 flight.
GVSU won four of six singles flights, with Billy Heckman leading the way at No. 2 singles with a 6-1, 6-4 victory. Jack Heiniger also had a victory in the top half of singles, winning his No. 3 singles match by a 7-5, 6-1 score.
The Lakers will now head back to the Midwest, with their next matches scheduled to be on March 15th at Indiana Wesleyan and Northwestern Ohio.
