Men's Tennis Begins GLIAC Play With 5-4 Victory Over ODU

NEW ALBANY, Ohio - The Grand Valley State men's team began GLIAC play with a 5-4 victory over Ohio Dominican on the road on Friday (Feb. 21), winning four singles matches to move to 3-0 overall on the year in dual match play.

The Lakers fell behind early on, dropping two of three doubles matches, but rebounded to win four of the six singles matches.

Jack Heiniger had two victories on the day, winning at No. 4 singles by a score of 6-2, 7-5, and then pairing with Quinn Sylow to take the win at No. 2 doubles by a score of 8-4.

Andrew Darrell was the top singles winner of the day, taking a 7-5, 6-3 contest at No. 2 singles.

GVSU will continue its road trip on Saturday (Feb. 22) with a match against Findlay slated to begin at noon.
