As a Senior (2018)
Named an AVCA Honorable Mention All-American, becoming the first Laker since 2014 to earn All-American status…Earned AVCA All-Midwest Region Team honors…Became the first Laker in program history to earn four straight All-GLIAC First Team plaudits…Was named the GLIAC South Player of the Week in the second week of the season after helping the Lakers to a 4-0 record where she hit .404 with 40 kills and just eight errors to go along with 10 total blocks defensively…Was one of just four Lakers to play in and start all 28 matches and 100 total sets…She led the GLIAC with a .344 hitting percentage while leading the Laker squad with 330 kills and 3.30 kills per set…Defensively, she led the Lakers in all three blocking categories for the third straight season, tallying 24 solo blocks and 56 assisted blocks for a total of 80 rejections…Tallied a season and career-high 20 kills in a 3-1 victory over Lake Superior State (Oct. 6) and hit .545 as she tallied just two errors in her 33 total attacks…Picked up another season and career-high when she rejected eight attack attempts in a 3-1 win over Parkside (Sept. 15)…Tallied double-digit kills in 22 of her 28 total matches played and failed to record a block in just three matches all season…Leaves GVSU ranked in the top-10 in seven different career categories…Ranks seventh with 114 solo blocks, eight with 426 total blocks and 1,591 points, ninth with 1,271 total kills, and 10th in block assists (312), blocks per set (0.98), and points per set (3.67)…Also ranks 11th in kills per set (2.93) and 12th with a .300 career attack percentage.
As a Junior (2017)
AVCA All-Midwest Region Honorable Mention…All-GLIAC First Team honoree…Named to the GLIAC All-Academic Team…Two-time GLIAC Player of the Week (Sept. 18 & Oct. 16)…Became just the third player in program history to be named to the All-GLIAC First Team for three consecutive seasons…One of just three Lakers to play in and start all 28 matches, saw action in 108 total sets…Led the team with 306 kills and 2.83 kills per set, which ranked 10th and 12th in the GLIAC, respectively…Ranked sixth in the league with a .311 hitting percentage…Also led the team in all blocking categories with 24 solo and 72 assisted blocks for a total of 96…Her solo blocks was third most in the conference…Posted a season-high 17 kills twice, first against Ashland (9/15) and then against Ashland (9/15)…Tallied at least 10 kills in 16 of her 28 matches…Against Ashland and Tiffin (9/15-16) tallied 17 and 11 kills, hitting .517 and .611, respectively…Hit at least .300 in 15 matches…Finished the season ranked eighth in program history with 1.04 blocks per set for her career.
As a Sophomore (2016)
Earned D2CCA All-Midwest Region Second Team honors…Selected to the All-GLIAC First Team for the second year in a row…Named to the GLIAC All-Academic Team…One of the top blockers in the conference, as she finished second in the GLIAC in solo blocks (34), third in blocks per set (1.10), fourth in total blocks (119), and eighth in block assists (85)…Also ranked eighth in the league in hitting percentage (.290), 12th in points per set (3.7), 14th in total points (401.5), and 17th in both total kills (315) and kills per set (2.92)…Her 34 solo blocks are the most by a Laker since the 2000 season…Appeared in all 29 matches (making 28 starts) and was one of just three Lakers to play in all 108 sets…Led team in all four blocking categories and second in kills and kills per set…Second year in a row she has led GVSU in total blocks, blocks per set, and solo rejections…Recorded double-digit kills in 18 matches and at least one block in 28 matches…Blocked four or more shots in 18 contests, which included a dominant 18-kill, nine-block effort against Hillsdale (Nov. 12)…Notched season-high and new career-high 19 kills in five-set road match at Hillsdale (Sept. 16), adding six blocks in the contest…Named GLIAC North Division Player of the Week on Sept. 12 after totaling 59 kills and just eight errors in a 4-0 weekend at the Vulcan Invitational (Sept. 9-10), recording a .495 hitting percentage and adding 16 total blocks; put up 17, 15, 13, and 14 kills, as GVSU earned three sweeps in the four matches…Delivered 10 or more kills in seven straight matches from Sept. 3 to Sept. 17…Finished with less than five kills in only one match all season and also totaled more kills than attack errors in all but one match all year…Secured a solo block in 20 of 28 matches, including multiple solo rejections in 10 contests…Committed just 10 blocking errors all season, compared to 119 total blocks.
As a Freshman (2015)
Named GLIAC Freshman of the Year, just the fifth Laker rookie to ever earn the award…Also voted to the All-GLIAC First Team, making her just the second GVSU freshman ever (along with senior teammate Betsy Ronda) to be named First Team all-conference as a rookie…Tabbed as AVCA All-Region Honorable Mention selection…Earned GLIAC Player of the week honors on Sept. 28…Finished second in the GLIAC in total blocks (131), blocks per set (1.11), and solo rejections (32), while ranking fourth in block assists (99)…Also ranked eighth in total points (413.5), 15th in kills (320), 20th in kills per set (2.71), 22nd in total attacks (778), and 24th in hitting percentage (.257)…Led Lakers in kills and three of four blocking categories as a rookie…Ninth GVSU player in school history to lead team in kills and blocks and first to do so since Rebeccah Rapin in 2010…Her 32 solo blocks are tied for the most by a GVSU player since the 2000 season…Appeared in all 32 contests, making 31 starts…Notched 10 or more kills in 19 matches and at least one block in 29 of 32 contests…Recorded five or more blocks in 14 matches, including season-high 10 blocks (three solo, seven assists) to go with 10 kills in 3-2 road victory at Northern Michigan (Oct. 30)…Totaled 15 kills and a .520 hitting percentage in second career match, a 3-0 home win over Carson-Newman (Sept. 4)…Added 14 kills, a .346 attack clip, and three blocks the next day in 3-0 win over Lock Haven (Sept. 5)…Put down season-best 18 kills in two different matches; against Minnesota State Moorhead (Sept. 11) and in three-set sweep at Malone (Sept. 25); provided six blocks in both of those contests…Hit season-best .611 in 3-0 win at Lake Erie (Oct. 9), supplying 11 kills in 18 attempts, without an error…Recorded more kills than attack errors in every match of the season.
High School: Prepped at Byron Center High School under head coach Deena Vroegindewey…Earned First Team Class A All-State honors as a senior, tallying 588 kills, 168 total blocks, 119 digs, and 96 service aces…Led the Bulldogs to the 2014 OK Green conference championship before winning the district title the same season…Recorded 543 kills, 119 blocks, 91 digs, and 57 aces as a junior in 2013, notching Third Team Class A All-State plaudits…Totaled over 1,600 kills and 400 total blocks during her Byron Center career…Named a four-time all-conference selection, while twice earning all-region awards…Helped the Bulldogs win 115 matches (at least 27 wins each season) and a 38-11-1 record during the 2014 season…Also played three years of basketball…Participated in Young Life and student council.
