Megan Link

Megan Link enters her second season as an assistant coach for the GVSU soccer team in 2020.

In her first season as an assistant in 2019, the Lakers won the DII National Championship and the coaching staff earned United Soccer Coaches National Staff of the Year. Under her tutilidge, goalkeeper Jessica Radice earned D2CCA All-America honors and was an all-conference performer for the first time in her career. The Lakers pitched 19 shutouts on the season - including 16 solo by Radice - and GVSU led the nation in scoring defense at the close of the regular season.

Link joined the GVSU staff after four seasons as the head coach at Southwest Baptist University; an NCAA Division II institution competing in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA).

Her Bearcats compiled a team GPA of 3.5 or higher in all four seasons while she helped produce two United Soccer Coaches All-Region players, 16 All-MIAA honorees, two CoSIDA Academic All-District first team members and led her team to a Top-25 ranking in the United Soccer Coaches national poll.

Link was a standout goalkeeper for the Bearcats as a player, serving as a four-year starter before continuing her playing career professionally as the starting keeper for Afturlding Football Club in the Icelandic Premier League. Megan returned state-side in 2014 to begin coaching where she served as a goalkeeper coach for the Missouri Youth Soccer Association and ODP soccer for one year before joining the staff at Quincy University as the assistant coach.
