Emma DeYoung begins her second season as a volunteer assistant with GVSU lacrosse at the start of the 2020-21 academic year. She was hired on September 11, 2018. DeYoung assists in coaching the Lakers' defense.
DeYoung is a Grand Rapids, Michigan native and her playing career ran through Grand Rapids Christian and NCAA Division I Detroit Mercy University, where she appeared in 51 games across four seasons. A registered nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Helen DeVos Children's Hospital, DeYoung has coached in the high school division for Michigan Elite Lacrosse for the past four years.
