Dominique Hamman

Dominique Hamman enters her second season as the graduate assistant for goalkeepers at the start of the 2020-21 academic year.  Hamman joins the Lakers from Central Michigan where she competed for four years as a goalie.  
 
In the shortened 2020 season, Hamman coached goalies Audrey Maloney and Abigail Dengler to record 24 saves and 41 goals allowed.  The Lakers posted a .369 save percentage and averaged 10.25 goals against average.  

During her final season at Central Michigan, Hamman played in 15 games, making 11 starts and compiling a .461 save percentage.  Hamman posted a career high 120 saves and was named to the All-Southern Conference Second Team in 2018.
 
"I'm very excited to start my coaching career at Grand Valley and am grateful to MacKenzie for giving me this opportunity,” said Hamman.  “The high level of athletic excellence maintained and expected from the student-athletes at this university excites me and I cannot wait to get started." 
 
Aside from playing, Hamman held coaching stints as an assistant goalie coach for Lady Roc Lacrosse in New York during the summers of 2015, 2016 and 2017. Additionally, Hamman joined head coach MacKenzie Lawler as an assistant coach for Michigan Elite Lacrosse Club during the 2019 season.  

The Central Michigan graduate earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics with a minor in athletic coaching.
