Eric Kramer enters his fourth year at Grand Valley State as assistant coach for sprints & hurdles in the 2025-2026 season.
This past season, Kramer's athletes saw immense success. He coached Myles Rhodes to two program records in the indoor and outdoor 400m event, as well as his men's outdoor 4x100m and 4x400m squads to program records and GLIAC Championship titles. His women's 4x400m relay squad made a podium appearance at the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships; Myles Rhodes (400m) and the men's 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams all finished in the top five or better at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships. In total, Kramer's athletes collected 13 USTFCCCA First-Team All-American honors during the 2025-26 track and field seasons.
In 2023-24, Kramer coached two men's relay teams to podium finishes at the NCAA Division II Outdoor National Championships. The men's 4x400m relay claiming sixth place overall and the men's 4x100m in eighth.Â
Kramer had three Grand Valley State school records broken in the outdoor season: the men's 4x100m, the men's 4x400m and the men's 400m dash.Â
In his time at Grand Valley State, Kramer has coached his student-athletes to 34 USTFCCCA First-Team All-American honors.
Kramer previously served as the track & field Head Coach at Wisconsin Lutheran College for nearly 3 years, where he recorded 27 school records, and coached 13 Individual Conference Champions, 60 All-Conference Athletes, 11 National Qualifiers and two All-American athletes.Â
Prior to Wisconsin Lutheran, Kramer severed as an assistant coach at several Division I, II and III track & field programs, coaching teams to 12Â conference championships throughout his career.
Kramer was a 4-year member of the track & field team at Saint Joseph’s College (2003-2007) where he competed in sprints and hurdles. A three-time NCAA Division II National Qualifier (hurdles), he held the school record in the 110m hurdles and decathlon. Following his undergraduate career, Kramer obtained his Master's in Education at Lake Erie College (2010-2011) while serving as a Track & Field Graduate Assistant.Â
