Eric Kramer

Eric Kramer enters his third year at Grand Valley State as assistant coach for sprints & hurdles in the 2024-2025 season.

In 2023-24, Kramer coached two men's relay teams to podium finishes at the NCAA Division II Outdoor National Championships. The men's 4x400m relay claiming sixth place overall and the men's 4x100m in eighth. 

Kramer had three Grand Valley State school records broken in the outdoor season, the men's 4x100m, the men's 4x400m, and the men's 400m dash. 

In his time at Grand Valley State, Kramer has coached 21 student-athletes to First-Team All-American honors.

Kramer previously served as the Track & Field Head Coach at Wisconsin Lutheran College for almost 3 years where he recorded 27 school records, and coached 13 Individual Conference Champions, 60 All-Conference Athletes, 11 National Qualifiers and 2 All-American athletes. 

Prior to Wisconsin Lutheran Kramer severed as as an assistant coach in a variety of Division I, II and III Track & Field programs, coaching 10 Conference Championship teams throughout his career.

Kramer was a 4-year member of the Track & Field team at Saint Joseph’s College (2003-2007) where he competed in sprints and hurdles, holding the school record in the 110m hurdles and decathlon as well as a 3x NCAA DII National qualifier in the hurdles. Later on, Kramer obtained his Master's in education at Lake Erie College (2010-2011) and served as a Track & Field Graduate Assistant.
