Biography

2016-17: Appeared in 28 games and made seven starts, logging 20.9 minutes per game…Averaged 9.1 points and 2.8 rebounds per game…Ranked 11th in the GLIAC in three-point percentage (43.3), 15th in blocked shots (20), and 24th in steals (28)...One of just eight players in the GLIAC with at least 20 blocks (20) and 20 steals (28), joining teammate Trevin Alexander in that rare club…Voted team’s Derrick Smith ‘Unsung Hero’ award winner…Scored in double-figures in 12 games, including three games of at least 20 points…Led team in three-point percentage (43.3) and finished second with 45 made trifectas…Knocked down a three-pointer in 20 games, including 12 games of multiple trifectas…Posted career-high 28 points in 94-83 home win over Northwood (2/9), making 8-of-13 field goals and 6-of-7 three-point attempts…Nailed go-ahead and eventual game-winning three-pointer with 1:04 remaining in 71-69 home win over Lake Superior State (2/11), capping a 17-point effort (4-of-6 from three-point range) to go with seven rebounds, four assists, and career-high four steals…Named GLIAC North Division Player of the Week on Feb. 13 after previous performances against Northwood and LSSU where he averaged 22.5 points and 6.0 rebounds per game in two victories…Provided back-to-back 20-point efforts in December conference games; scored 23 points and made 7-of-14 field goals against Tiffin (12/17), followed by 26 points on 9-of-12 shooting and 6-of-7 three-pointers (along with career-high three blocks) in 87-75 win over Ashland (12/19)…Made 4-of-6 triple tries and scored 16 points in final collegiate game at Findlay (2/28) in the GLIAC Tournament.

2015-16: Appeared in seven games during first season in Allendale…Averaged 4.7 points and 1.1 rebound in 8.7 minutes per game…Shot 46.2 percent from the field and was 5-of-15 from three-point range…Scored season-best 12 points in 13 minutes of first collegiate game, a home win over Olivet (11/20), as he made 5-of-6 field goals and both of his three-point attempts…Recorded nine points in 13 minutes in home victory over Grace Bible (11/23), adding three rebounds and season-high two assists…Scored eight points in 13 minutes in road contest at Michigan Tech (2/6), making a pair of three-pointers…Added four points and three rebounds at Ferris State (2/1).

Prior to GVSU: Played two seasons at Kishwaukee College in Malta, Ill. under head coach Rob Buss…Kishwaukee competes at the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II level…Earned First Team All-Arrowhead Conference and First Team All-Region IV honors…Named First Team All-Region Tournament Most Valuable Player and selected to NJCAA All-Tournament Team…Averaged 18.4 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game in 2014-15 for the Kougars in 30.3 minutes per game, shooting 47.3 percent from the field…Went 105-for-203 from three-point range for a stellar 51.7 three-point percentage; both his made three-pointers and three-point percentage were third-best in NJCAA Division II…Shot 71.1 percent at the free throw line, draining 106-of-149 free throw attempts…Scored 20 or more points in 16 games and had four 30-point outings…Helped Kishwaukee win a regional championship and a conference title, while leading the Kougars to the NJCAA National Tournament.
 
High School: Prepped at West Aurora High School in Aurora, Ill. under head coach Gordie Kerkman…Finished his career as the Blackhawks’ all-time leading scorer with 1,627 points…Named a two-time All-State First Team honoree and the 2011-12 DuPage Valley Conference co-Most Valuable Player…During all four seasons, he was tabbed First Team All-Dupage Valley Conference, team most valuable player, and team captain.
