    Assistant Coach
Jordan VerHulst recently completed his first season as an assistant coach with Grand Valley State in 2018-19, helping the team to a 19-13 record en route to the team's first GLIAC Tournament title since 2008 and first berth in the NCAA Tournament since 2010.

With VerHulst's help, the Lakers boasted a pair of All-GLIAC performers with Hunter Hale averaging 17 points per game to earn first team honors and Jake Van Tubbergen named to the second team with 14 points per contest... Isaiah Brock was also named to the All-Defensive team for the conference.

Prior to GVSU, VerHulst spent four years at Auburn University under head coach Bruce Pearl, climbing his way from video coordinator to special assistant to the head coach by his final season... In that 2018 campaign, the Tigers won their first Southeastern Conference regular season title in 19 years and broke a 15-season NCAA Tournament drought. VerHulst served in a variety of support roles including academic liaison, on-campus recruiting, scheduling and itineraries, oversight of student managers and scout staff, community relations initiatives and helping to oversee the Bruce Pearl basketball camps.

Before joining the staff at Auburn, VerHulst spent 2012-2014 as the video coordinator for the Memphis Tigers after three seasons as a graduate assistant... The Tigers reached the post-season in all five campaigns, including four NCAA Tournament berths... With VerHulst on staff, Memphis went a combined 130-44 and won three conference tournament titles and a pair of regular season championships.

A Grand Valley State graduate, VerHulst got his coaching start at nearby Godwin Heights during his time as a Laker. VerHulst and his family currently reside in Grandville.
