High School: Ansel, a graduate of Comstock High School in Kalamazoo, Mich., is a 5'10" combo guard that helped the Colts to two straight Berrien-Cass-St. Joseph (BCS) Conference Championships. As a junior last season, she averaged 21.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, 3 steals, and 3 assists en route to helping her team to a 19-2 record. For her efforts during that junior campaign, she was named First Team All-State by the Associated Press (AP) and the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan (BCAM) while also taking home First Team All-Conference and Most Valuable Player honors as well. She also earned BCAM First Team All-State honors as a junior after averaging 15.5 points and 8.4 rebounds per contest.
