Brad Bez

Brad Bez enters his second season as the offensive line coach for Grand Valley State. Bez arrived at GVSU after two seasons as the offensive line coach at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. 

Bez tutored the likes of consensus All-American Gabe Brown his first year with the Lakers. In addition, Kyler Blake-Jones and Brett Weaver earned postseason honors. GVSU averaged 218.4 yards per game rushing and tallied 34 rushing touchdowns. 

The UW-River Falls offensive line was a key piece in the 14-7 combined record the Falcons turned in during the 2022 and 2023 season's. River Falls played one of the nation's top schedules, evidenced by seven games versus teams ranked in the top 15 nationally. Bez tutored 2023 consensus All-American Alex Klecker during the 2023 campaign. In addition, River Falls averaged 43.0. points and 197.1 yards rushing per game in 2023. 

Prior to UW-River Falls, Bez spent two seasons as the offensive line graduate assistant at Western Michigan University, where he helped guide the Broncos to an 8-5 record and an appearance in the Quick Lane Bowl. He coached three All-Mid-American Conference Honorees on the offensive line in 2021.  Before Western Michigan, Bez spent a year at Wayne State with their offensive line as a part of a coaching staff that went 8-3 and finished second in the GLIAC.  

A 2019 graduate of Kalamazoo College and native of Okemos, Mich., Brad was a standout member of the Hornets’ Offensive Line where he lettered all four years. Brad was a Dean’s List member and appeared on the MIAA Academic Honor Roll multiple times in his career. In addition to his BA undergraduate degree from Kalamazoo, he also completed his Master’s in Sports Administration while at Wayne State.
