Freshman Season Summary: 
Buurma wrapped up her first season as a Laker with a 25–13 record and a seventh-place finish at the inaugural NCAA National Championship. She recorded nine falls, eight technical falls, and eight decision victories. As a freshman, she also qualified for the regional championships.
