Fall 2021
Appeared in 17 games making 14 starts primarily at center back...Recorded one goal and one assist for three points and taking nine shots, including three on goal...Scored a goal in the second round of the NCAA Tournament vs Indianapolis (Nov. 20)...Played a key role on a defense that gave up just 15 goals all season and helped lead the Lakers to a Division II record seventh National Championship and GLIAC regular season championship.

Spring 2021 
Abbreviated season moved to spring as a result of COVID-19 but did not count against eligibility...Saw action in all eight games, making four starts. Logged 439 minutes, primarily at center back, and helped the Lakers post two shutouts in the final rounds of the GLIAC Tournament to earn a 14th straight title.

2019
Appeared in 22 games along the Laker front line, scoring a goal and adding an assist for three points on the season...Recorded her first collegiate point with an assist in Lakers' win over #6 Lee in the second game of the season...Scored first career goal in non-conference game against Davenport (Oct. 6)...Part of historic offense that set program record for goals in a season (117)...Helped GVSU to a record sixth National Championship, 11th straight Midwest Region title, 15th consecutive GLIAC regular season championship and 13th GLIAC Tournament crown in a row.

PRIOR TO GVSU
Played three seasons of varsity high school soccer, scoring six goals and dishing five assists over her first two seasons with Troy Athens High School en route to all-conference and all-district honors in 2017 and 2018. She earned all-state honorable mention in 2018 and was a first team All-State defender in her senior season. Served as team captain for the Red Hawks and would be named team MVP in each of her final two campaigns. Russell has been an integral part of a USYS National Championship, two MSYSA State Cup titles and a USYS Regional championship as a member of Nationals.  Additionally, Brooke’s involvement with ODP has seen a selection to the Michigan State Team in all five years, including Region II team honors.
