Grand Valley State University Athletics

Grand Valley State dropped a 15-10 decision to Indianapolis Friday afternoon in NCAA Super Regional action. The Lakers end the season with a 48-10 record.

The Lakers led 4-1 heading to the bottom of the fourth, but Indianapolis scored 10 runs on four hits, six walks and two hit batters to take an 11-4 lead. GVSU scored one in the fifth, two in the sixth and seventh and one in the top of the ninth. GVSU outhit the Greyhounds 15-10, but Indianapolis drew 13 walks and were hit by a pitch twice. 

SS Evan Morrison was 4-for-6 with three RBI, while RF Ryan Stimac was 3-for-4 with an RBI and run scored. 2B Ayden VanEnkevort was 1-for-5 with two RBI and three runs scored, 1B Jovan Gill was 2-for-4 with an RBI, 3B Caleb Estrada was 2-for-5 with two RBI, LF Will Bowen was 2-for-3 with three runs scored and CF Jake Skaggs was 1-for-4. 

Owen Avery took the loss (9-2), while Zach Warren, Ethan Houghtaling, Keagan Bobbitt and Duncan McLaughlin all saw action on the mound.
