NOBLESVILLE, IND. – The Grand Valley State men's golf team concluded the regular season with a victory at the Ken Partridge Invitational, winning by 19 strokes.
Manuel Cue Vargas claimed the individual victory as well.
Results
The Lakers won the event with a final score of one under par, leading through all three rounds. Ferris State and Rockhurst were both for second at +18. In a tie for fourth were Tiffin and host UIndy, both ending at +25.
Four Laker golfers finished inside the top-10, led by Cue in first. The senior carded a final round of 72 (E), making four birdies to end at four under.
Ryan Gallagher was at two under after making five birdies in his round of 71 (-1) to finish as the runner-up.
Charlie Cooley tied for seventh with a score of three over. He also shot a 71, making five birdies. In a tie for ninth was
Andrew Gwilliams, who carded a 76 (+4) with four birdies to finish tied for ninth.
Bryce Wheeler made three birdies in his round of 76 to finish in a tie for 12
th at +5.
Maverick Conaway was tied for 26
th at +8 following his round of 73 (+1) with three birdies.
Murphy Kehoe finished in a tie for 46
th and
Finley Dober tied for 54
th.
