The
National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) announced today that Grand Valley State Director of Athletics,
Keri Becker, is one of 28 winners of the NACDA AD of the Year Award (ADOY). The award spans seven divisions (NCAA FBS, FCS, Division I-AAA, II, III, NAIA/Other Four-Year Institutions and Junior College/Community Colleges). Winners will be recognized in conjunction with the 61st Annual NACDA & Affiliates.
The ADOY Award highlights the efforts of athletics directors at all levels for their commitment and positive contributions to student-athletes, campuses and their surrounding communities.

"This award is a reflection of the amazing staff, coaches, and student-athletes who place me in a position to be considered for such an honor."
Becker has been a key figure in the continued growth of Grand Valley State athletics since her appointment as Director of Athletics in 2016 and the 2024-25 campaign was no different.
2024-25
• GVSU captured a fifth consecutive Learfield Directors' Cup crown and the 17th in school history with a Division II record point total (1,080.5).
• Grand Valley State claimed the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) 2024-25 Presidents' Trophy for the 26th consecutive year and a GLIAC-best 31st time overall. GVSU won a GLIAC record 13 league titles.
• Recently completed a third term as a member of the Women Leaders in Sports Board of Directors serving from 2019 – 2025.
• Is a member of National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) Executive Committee that began in fall of 2023 and will run through 2027.
• Named to the Board of Director's for the Collegiate Women Sports Awards (CWSA), presented by Honda.
• Named to the board of the NCAA DII membership committee.
• In 2026, Becker began her three-year term on the West Michigan Sports Commission Board of Directors.
• GVSU won national championships in women's basketball and women's outdoor track & field.
• 11 teams recorded top five national finishes.
• Led the GVSU SAAC to put forth 6,711 community service hours.
• Grand Valley State student athletes received 425 Academic honors.
• Six coaches and or staffs recognized for National Coach of the Year honors.
• Twenty teams advanced to NCAA postseason action.
• 65 percent of GVSU's student athletes tallied a GPA of over 3.0.
• Spearheaded building and renovation projects that in the GVSU Fieldhouse Arena and a stand-alone baseball/softball locker room project.
