SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Grand Valey State men's tennis team fell to Saint Leo 4-3 Friday (Mar. 13) afternoon in the final game of the spring trip in Florida. The Lakers fall to 6-4 on the season.
Saint Leo swept doubles action to claim the doubles point.
Bora Bakici and
Patricio Sepulveda dropped a 3-6 decision at the top doubles position.
Stephen Claassen and
Lawrence Ivanov fell 3-6 at No. 2 doubles, while
Denys Zamaraiev and
Andreu Martin lost 3-6 at No. 3 doubles.
In singles action,
Jorge Ruiz claimed a 7-6, 6-2 straight set win at No. 3 singles.
Axel Le Ho tallied a 3-6, 6-3, 6-1 three-set win at No. 4 singles.
Patricio Sepulveda posted a 7-6, 6-3 win at No. 5 singles.
