#8 Grand Valley State defeated Hillsdale College Sunday afternoon in Marion, Illinois at Mountain Dew Park by a 3-0 score. The Lakers are now 10-1, while Hillsdale falls to 3-7. The Lakers completed the four-game sweep in the series.

Josh Fleming opened the third inning by getting hit by pitch and moved to third in a single by SS
Evan Morrison. DH
Kaden Howard plated Fleming with a single to left to give the Lakers a 1-0 lead.
LF
Caden Thelen and Morrison made spectacular plays defensively in the bottom of the fourth to keep the Chargers off the bases.
In the fifth, Morrison started the rally with an infield single with two outs and Howard walked. 1B
Jovan Gill then hit the first offering to right field to plate Morrison to up the lead to 2-0.
Thelen singled in the sixth and moved to second on a ground out. Fleming singled to center to score Thelen for his first career RBI.
Freshman
Jackson Kees picked up the win on mound, allowing no runs on two hits in 6.0 innings of work, while senior
Ethan Houghtaling tossed 1.1 innings of one-hit ball. Senior
Mike Morawski retired the final two batters in the eighth and
Ty Uchman closed out the win with a scoreless ninth to pick up his first save.
Morrison, Gill and Thelen each collected two hits, while Gill, Howard and Fleming each drove in a run.
