MARQUETTE, Mich. – The Grand Valley State men's basketball team fell 85-72 at Northern Michigan Wednesday (March 5) in the GLIAC quarterfinals. The Lakers end the season with a 16-13 overall record.
GVSU was led by
Kaden Brown who scored 23 points on 8-19 shooting from the field with three three-pointers and three assists.
Trevon Gunter scored 16 points on 5-6 shooting and 3-4 shooting from three-point range.
Charles Turner added nine points on three made shots from behind the arc and five rebounds.
William Dunn led the Lakers with 10 rebounds.
GVSU shot 39% from the field and 39% from three-point range. Northern Michigan shot 58% from the field and 48% from three. The Wildcats out rebounded the Lakers 35-33, but GVSU had 11 offensive rebounds to Northern Michigan's seven. Jackson Dudek led Northern Michigan with 17 points, five rebounds, and four assists on 7-9 shooting from the field and 3-5 shooting from three.
