The 17
th-ranked Grand Valley State women's lacrosse team claimed a 17-10 victory Friday (Mar. 28) at Concordia-St. Paul. GVSU improves to 6-3 overall and 1-0 in GLIAC action, while CSP falls to 5-5 and 1-1 in the GLIAC.
The Lakers led 5-3 after one period of play and increase the lead to 10-5 at the half. GVSU dominated the third period and held a 3-1 advantage in goals to build a 13-6 lead. A four goal fourth period followed for the 17-10 win.
Jillian Bingman and
Zoe Ziegler led the way for the Lakers, each collected five points on four goals and an assist.
Ashleigh Rothe chipped in three goals and two assists for a five-point evening.
Ella Boose added two goals and two assists for four points, while
Gracie Bancroft tallied two goals.
Kaylyn Cater, a native of Chanhassen, Minnesota, got the start and win in goal, notching four saves and allowing five goals.
Sarah Krause also saw time goal, recording two save and yielding five goals.
