ALLENDALE – The Grand Valley State men's basketball team is back home this week to host a pair of ranked teams. The Lakers will face #9 Lake Superior State on Thursday (Feb. 6) at 8:00 PM before hosting #16 Ferris State on Saturday (Feb. 8) at 3:00 PM.

GVSU enters the homestand with a 10-10 overall record and 6-6 conference mark. The Lakers are looking to bounce back after a pair of road losses at Northern Michigan and Michigan Tech. The season GVSU is averaging 73.8 points on 43% shooting from the field and 36% shooting from three-point range.
Kaden Brown leads GVSU in scoring with 12.9 points and 51 made three-pointers. Brown is second on the team with 20 steals and fifth with 19 assists.
William Dunn is averaging 11.9 points and leads GVSU with 5.9 rebounds. Dunn has reached double figures in scoring over the last seven consecutive games.
Jalen Charity has added 10.7 points and four rebounds while shooting 50.7% from the field.
Lake Superior State comes to Allendale ranked number nine in the country in the latest NABC Top 25 national poll. LSSU is tied for first place in the GLIAC with a 10-2 conference mark and 19-3 overall record. Lake Superior State leads the GLIAC making over 10 three-pointers a game and they lead the GLIAC allowing 66.3 points a game
Lake Superior State is led by Tyson Edmondson who is ranks sixth in the GLIAC averaging 16.2 points on 45% shooting from the field and 38% shooting from behind the arc. Edmondson is third on LSSU with 4.6 rebounds and 56 assists. Kingsley Perkins is averaging 12.8 points and 6.3 rebounds while shooting 56% from the field. Hunter Soper has notched 11.3 points on 51% shooting from the field and 46% shooting from three and ranks second in the GLIAC with 7.2 rebounds.
Ferris State enters the weekend ranked number 16 in the latest NABC Top 25 national poll. The Bulldogs are 19-4 on the season and 9-3 in conference play. Ferris State leads the GLIAC in scoring averaging 85.8 points on 49% shooting from the field and 38% shooting from three.
Ethan Erickson leads Ferris State and ranks tied for second scoring 17.1 points per game on 42% shooting from the field and 40% shooting from three-point range. Tyler Hamilton has notched 11.7 points on 42% shooting from the field and is second on FSU averaging 3.2 assists. Nathan Claerbaut leads the GLIAC averaging over two blocks per game and is second in the conference with seven rebounds. Claerbaut has added 9.9 points for Ferris State shooting at a 61% clip.
