SigningDay

GVSU Football Inks 42 On 2025 National Signing Day

2025 Signing Class

Grand Valley State University third-year head football coach Scott Wooster announced the signing of 42 student-athletes to attend and play football for the Lakers in the fall of 2025.

"We had an outstanding year identifying our needs early and getting in on guys that we felt were the best fit for our football program and Grand Valley State," said Wooster. "We were able to sign a talented, deep and balanced class that is not only great players on the field, but also culture fits. It is a group of guys that want to develop to be their best as a football player, teammate, man and student; as we are extremely proud of our student-athletes academic success rating, which is among the leaders in both the GLIAC and NCAA.  We were also able to capitalize on the tremendous talent and coaching of our home state signing 29 guys from the state of Michigan along with 13 from our bordering states. Because of the caliber of the student-athlete we are recruiting and had committed, a couple guys flipped down the stretch, but were also able to finish strong getting a few commitments late in the process. I want to personally and publicly thank our recruiting coordinator, Nick Postma, our coaching staff, support staff, compliance, communications, and our athletic department for the time, effort, and sacrifice to put together a phenomenal class."

Grand Valley State's 2025 class consists of 42 total players from Michigan (29), Ohio (8), Illinois (4) and Wisconsin (1). The Lakers signed 21 offensive players, 20 defensive players and a long snapper.
