ALLENDALE – The Grand Valley State men's basketball team hosts Davenport in the crosstown showdown Tuesday (Feb. 25) night. Tipoff is set for 8:00 PM at the GVSU Fieldhouse Arena. The game will be streamed live on FloSports and WXSP-TV.

GVSU enters the final week of the regular season with a 14-10 overall record and 10-8 conference mark. The Lakers are tied for sixth place in the GLIAC standings and are two games back from fourth place and earning the right to host in the quarterfinal round.
The Lakers split last weekend's homestand falling 67-66 against Wayne State before bouncing back with a 76-68 win over Saginaw Valley State.
Jalen Charity led GVSU in scoring in both games putting up 18 points in the loss against Wayne State and 15 points in the win over SVSU. Charity is now second on the team in scoring averaging 11.4 points on 49% shooting from the field and has reached double figures over the last five consecutive games.
Kaden Brown leads GVSU in scoring averaging 13.3 points on 38% shooting from the field. Brown ranks fourth in the GLIAC with 71 made three-pointers and leads the GLIAC shooting 39% from three-point range.
William Dunn has scored 11.1 points and leads the Lakers with 5.8 rebounds.
GVSU won the first crosstown showdown matchup 62-60 on the road. The Lakers were down by seven points but ended the game on a 9-0 run in the final two minutes of the game. Brown led GVSU with 21 points shooting 4-8 from three-point range, while Dunn added 15 points and seven rebounds.
Davenport enters Tuesday's game with a 5-21 overall record and a 1-17 in the GLIAC. The Panthers have lost 14 straight games with their last win coming against Michigan Tech on January 4
th.
Jovan Tucker leads Davenport averaging 14.6 points on 46% shooting from the field and 42% from three. Matyas Vrabel has scored 10.7 points and leads the Panthers averaging seven rebounds. Joey Cabana has added 10.6 points shooting 37% from the field and 36% from three-point range.
