Trace Hrgich was named an Associated Press Second-Team All-American it was announced Monday (Dec. 22). A First-Team All-GLIAC honoree, Hrgich led the GLIAC and ranked second nationally with a 45.8 yards per punt averaged on 32 punts. He set a GLIAC single-season record with his 45.8 ypp average and set the GLIAC career record with a 42.3 ypp average. Hrgich tallied 14 punts inside the opponent's 20 yard line and notched 10 punts of 50 yards or longer, with a long of 64. yards. In addition, 43 percent of his punts in 2025 pinned the opponent inside the 20 yard line. Trace, who was named the GLIAC Special Teams Player of the Week once during the 2025 campaign, set the GVSU single-season record (45.8) and career average (42.3) for punting.
