Lakers Drop Two At Crossover Tournament

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 HAMMOND, IND. – The Grand Valley State women's volleyball team dropped both of their matches Friday at the Midwest Region Crossover Tournament. They fell in four sets to Cedarville, then were swept by Lewis. The Lakers play a third game Saturday against a team still to be determined.
 
In the opener against the Yellow Jackets, Cedarville took the first set 25-23, but the Lakers responded with a set two win 25-18. Cedarville would take the last two sets by the scores of 25-17 and 25-23. Meghan O'Sullivan posted 18 kills on a .419 hitting percentage, adding 23 assists and five service aces. Brianna Stawski had 12 kills, swinging .417, and Kendall Stover notched eight kills and 12 digs. Caroline Baker dished out 18 assists and Olivia Behen recorded 16 digs.
 
Against Lewis, the Flyers took the match in three sets, winning 25-19, 25-20, and 25-21. O'Sullivan and Stawski tied for a team-high nine kills. Baker had 18 assists and O'Sullivan tallied 17, with Stover getting 18 digs.
