PALM HARBOR, FLA. – The Grand Valley State men's golf team finished off their time in Florida with a runner-up finish at the Copperhead Championship. On the individual side,
Bryce Wheeler was also the runner-up and
Andrew Gwilliams claimed a top-10 finish as well.
Results
West Florida took home the team title, finishing at -11. The Lakers shot two under par today, to climb one spot into second place, ending at even par for the tournament. Lee was third at two over, followed by Wingate in fourth, carding a nine over. In fifth with a score of +18 was Nova Southeastern.
Bryce Wheeler tied for the runner-up position, shooting a final round of 68 (-3) to finish at four under par.
Andrew Gwilliams mad two birdies in his round of 74 (+3) to end at even par in a tie for seventh.
Maverick Conaway and
Manuel Cue Vargas both finished in a tie for 21
st at four over par. Conaway shot a 69 (-2) with two birdies and an eagle, while Cue had two birdies in his round of 71 (E).
Charlie Cooley had a final round of 74 with one birdie, to end in a tie for 34
th at +7.
