CHICAGO – The Grand Valley State men's basketball team are back in action Monday night when they travel to Chicago, Illinois to face new conference foe Roosevelt. Tipoff is set for 8:30 PM ET / 7:30 PM CT.

This will be the second meeting between GVSU and Roosevelt in program history. GVSU won the only matchup 133-65 back in 1979. The 133 points scored by GVSU against Roosevelt are the most points scored in a game and the largest margin of victory (68) in program history.
GVSU is 7-8 on the season and 3-4 in the GLIAC. The Lakers defeated Davenport on the road 62-60 to snap a six-game losing streak. GVSU closed the game on a 9-0 run in the final 3:30 minutes of the game.
Kaden Brown led the Lakers with 21 points and four made three-pointers.
In their first season in the GLIAC, Roosevelt is 5-10 overall and 2-5 in the GLIAC. Roosevelt defeated Davenport at home 85-67 in their last game. The Lakers are averaging 72 points a game on 42% shooting from the field and 31% from three. Matt forte ranks second in the GLIAC averaging 18.9 points, while shooting 39% from the field. Enari Thomas ranks fourth in the GLIAC in scoring putting up 16.2 points on 46% from the field and 46% from three.
