ALLENDALE, MICH. — GVSU Women's Wrestling announced a new assistant coach for the upcoming 2024-25 season. Marylnne Deede is a great new addition to the program.
Deede competed at Augsburg University where she was a 4-time All-American and a National Champion in the 155lb. weight class. She finished up her last year of eligibility at the University of Iowa, where she became an All-American and National Champion in the 155lb. weight class.
She has experience coaching and training athletes to compete at a higher level.
She finished up her degree in undergraduate studies with a major in Chemistry. Deede is going to be a great addition to the staff program as she has experience on and off the mat to help the student-athletes here at GVSU strive for excellence.
