#2-Seeded Grand Valley State claimed a 2-1 victory over #1-seeded Saginaw Valley State Saturday at Jackson Field in Lansing, Michigan. The Lakers advance to GLIAC Championship Sunday at 11 a.m. and will await their opponent.
GVSU senior hurler
Sam Leck (4-1) was sensational, going the distance and allowing just one run on six hits with eight strikeouts. Leck induced nine fly outs and seven ground outs. The Cardinals lone run was a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth.

Ayden VanEnkevort reached on an error and CF
Kyle Nott doubled to center. LF
Ryan Dykstra singled to right to plate both VanEnkevort and Nott and give the Lakers a 2-0 lead.
The Lakers pounded out nine hits in the game, including three doubles.
Dykstra was 1-4 with a 2 RBI single, while Nott, VanEnkevort and
Jake Rydquist each tallied two hits and each doubled. VanEnkevort and Nott both scored a run. SS
Connor Schuman and RF Nate Logan each produced a hit.
