ALLENDALE, MICH. – The GVSU women's basketball team is on to tomorrow's GLIAC Championship game, as they took down Parkside 72-59. The win moves the Lakers to 28-2 overall as they are on a 13-game winning streak.

The Lakers raced out to an 12-4 lead to begin the game behind five points from Nicole Kamin. Parkside fought back and cut their deficit to two at 16-14 with two minutes to play in the quarter. GVSU would respond with a 7-2 run to end the quarter, leading 23-16 after one.

The Rangers began the second quarter on a 10-0 scoring run to take their first lead of the game at 26-23. Macy Bisballe tied the game back up with a three-pointer, which ignited a 10-0 run from the Lakers to take the lead right back. The Lakers pushed their lead up to 10 points at 40-30, but the Rangers got the final basket of the quarter, still trailing 40-32 at the break.
