MARQUETTE, Mich. – The Grand Valley State men's basketball team travels to Marquette, Michigan for the GLIAC Tournament semifinal round against Northern Michigan on Saturday (Mar. 9) at 1:00 PM. The winner will advance to the GLIAC Championship on Sunday (Mar. 10) at 2:00 PM.

The Lakers defeated Michigan Tech 79-76 in the GLIAC quarterfinals to advance to Saturday's semifinal matchup.
Mason Docks led the Lakers in scoring with 21 points on 7-12 shooting and 7-10 shooting from the free throw line.
Marius Grazulis notched his sixth double-double of the season against the Huskies scoring 16 points and hauling in 10 rebounds.
GVSU defeated Northern Michigan in their last matchup in double overtime last week Thursday in Marquette.
Britain Harris scored a career high 24 points, while Grazulis scored 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

Trevor Smith added 15 points and two made three pointers each.
The Lakers have won five straight games and six out of their last seven. The five-game winning streak is the longest of the season as they scored at least 90 points in the last three games of the regular season. GVSU is 15-14 on the season and finished fourth in the GLIAC standings.
Nothern Michigan won the GLIAC regular season championship wth a 14-4 conference mark and 22-9 overall record. The Wildcats defeated Purdue Northwest 71-63 in the GLIAC quarterfinals.
Max Weisbrod was named the GLIAC Player of the Year for Northern Michigan as he leads his team in scoring averaging 16.8 points per game on 43% shooting. Weisbrod has notched over three rebounds a game and leads the team with 123c assists. Dylan Kuehl has scored 16.5 points and 5.7 rebounds this season. Kuehl has shot 50% from the field and leads the team with 30 blocked shots.
