ALLENDALE – The Grand Valley State men's basketball team is back on the road this week for a pair of GLIAC contests against Parkside and Purdue Northwest. The Lakers will first face Parkside on Thursday (Feb. 15) at 8:30 PM ET before traveling to face Purdue Northwest on Saturday (Feb. 17) at 4:00 PM ET.

The Lakers currently sit in fourth place in the GLIAC with a 6-6 conference mark. Parkside is tied for fifth with a 6-7 GLIAC record, while Purdue Northwest is tied for seventh place with a 5-8 record in the GLIAC.
Ethan Alderink leads the Lakers in scoring averaging 12.4 points per game, while shooting 46% from the field. Alderink is also averaging 5.6 rebounds per game which ranks second on the team.
Marius Grazulis is scoring 10.8 points per game and ranks second in the GLIAC hauling in eight rebounds.
William Dunn has notched 10.7 points and leads the team in three-point shooting, knocking down 34 shots from behind the arc at a 43% clip.
Britain Harris has added 10.3 points off the bench and leads the team with 25 steals.
Parkside enters Thursday's matchup with an 11-12 overall record. The Rangers are averaging 70 points per game which ranks last in the GLIAC while shooting 44% from the field. Parkside is second in the GLIAC only committing 9.9 turnovers a game while forcing 11.3 turnovers. The Lakers defeated Parkside in the first meeting of the season in Allendale back in January.
Colin O'Rourke leads Parkside in scoring and ranks eighth in the GLIAC averaging 15.2 points per game. O'Rourke shoots it at a 47% clip from the field and 37% from behind the arc, while also leading his team bringing down 5.7 rebounds a game. Josiah Palmer has notched 14.2 points a game and has dished out 112 assists to lead the Rangers. Nick Brown has added 10.3 points shooting a team best 53% from the field.
Purdue Northwest 11-12 heading into the weekend. The Pride will host Davenport on Thursday before hosting the Lakers on Saturday. Purdue Northwest defeated the Lakers at the buzzer in Allendale back in January. The Pride are averaging 76 points per game while shooting 45% from the field.
Brendan Temple leads the Pride in scoring averaging 14.5 points a game, while also dishing out 83 assists. Temple is shooting 58% from the field and 41% from three. CJ Jackson has notched 13 points a game shooting at a 40% clip. Jackson has brought down 4.8 rebounds and leads the team with 27 steals. Kalil Whitehead has added 10.6 points a game while shooting 38% from the field.
